ELECTRONIC TOLLS HAVE BEGUN ON FLORIDA'S TURNPIKE, BUT ONLY IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY. IF YOU ARE USING THE TURPIKE IN ANY OTHER PART OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA, CASH AND SUNPASS RATES STILL APPLY. VISIT OUR TOLL PAGE FOR RATES.

PAY TOLLS WITH YOUR SUNPASS OR WITH YOUR LICENSE PLATE!

A new electronic toll system was implemented on Florida's Turnpike beginning February 19, and on February 21, new toll rates for the Homestead Extension in MIami Dade went into effect. If you are not traveling in Miami-Dade County, this change will not affect you until at least 2014.

NOTE: IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A SUNPASS, YOUR SUNPASS WILL BE BILLED, SO LONG AS THEIR ARE SUFFICIENT FUNDS AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE, YOUR LICENSE PLATE CAN NOW BE USED TO SEND YOU A TOLL BILL.

The new electronic toll system will eventually cover all of Florida's Turnpike, and the Miami-Dade County HEFT is the first phase of the switch. Other portions of the turnpike will not be converted until at least 2014, so you have a while before you get to ditch the coins!
